Hi All

Looking in my shed, I came across some stuff I had brought with the plan of making them shabby chic, yes I know another project to do, I picked the one that appealed to me the most, that was a tatty key box, I sanded it down and then painted it, decoupaged it, made it shabby, varnished it and it was done, why is it not that easy with miniatures. I did go back to mini making later, but it was nice to do something different.
I repainted a little dolls house for the dolls house

I had my bloods done on Friday and I am so pleased, I have stayed within the range, so I am now on 4 weekly visits, hope this continues.

More minis today after I have posted some parcels, I sold some of my mini creations on ebay and I am always surprised that they sell and where they go, this time its New Zealand.

I am a naughty bloger

Hi all

yes I am naughty!! I mean about my blogging, it seems that real life keeps getting in the way of my miniatures, how dare it.

The days seem to be flying by, I get up in the morning with the idea of quickly doing my house work and then on to minis,  but it dies not seem to happen, first its the start of spring, so garden needs a tidy up, then I decide my curtains need to be cleaned, then I think the wood work needs washing down, you get the idea, does others do this I wonder?

I did manage to get a few hours this week, I seem to have so many projects on the go and again I start of thinking, right I will finish one thing before I go on to another, again wrong, it maybe I want to look at something in my vast collection of books and then I see something and I think that's nice and before I know it I have started another mini!!
Oh well maybe one day I will be organised, she dreams, 
I would love to know if this happens to you.

Anyway let me show you what I have got round to doing.

After I made the toy cupboard I decided to make a child's bedroom suite in the same style.

I have news

Hi all

I just had to share my news with you, I told you I am going to be a nanny in September, well I can now reveal its going to be a BOY!! so pleased and I now know what I can knit.

I finally sold my 2 dolls house and soon I hope to start on my new one. It is to big for me to have in my work room, so I am going to put it in my lounge, this means a bit of reorganising to fit it in, I also need to find a small cabinet to put it on.

This will be a keep me and I will not rush it, I have so many ideas in my head, but still going to make into shops, while I was clearing out my work room I came across a conservatory that I purchased a long time ago, I know how could I not seen it, but if you could see my work room and the amount of stuff I have in it, you would know how I missed it, finding that gave me another idea, I could make it into a tea room beside the shops, so I am measuring the space again to see if it will fit in.
I will also be keeping a inventory for everything I spend on this project.

Hi All
Yes I have finished, the last lot of my mums bits has now finished, now we have to sort every thing out and do the garage sale, we are going to wait a while for the weather to get better.
So now I can get on with stuff I want to do.

I did get into my work room this weekend and managed to finish off a couple of little projects.
I painted another chair, this is getting addictive, but I really enjoy painting the furniture,
I also made a cupboard for a nursery.

Tomorrow I want to get on with my beach shop, we will see, anyway here is what I have been up to

Hi All
yes finally I have put the last lot of my mums stuff on ebay, must admit I cried more these last few weeks than I did when she died, I think its because looking and selling all her stuff was very hard, brought back lots of memories.

Once this lot has gone we are doing a garage sale, and what does not sell we will give to a charity. will be glad when it is all over and I can have more time.

I did get into my work room and  finished off another painted chair, now I just want to finish my beach shop then I hope to start my big project, it is still in its box, I have looked at the instructions!! help my son as said he will help me put it together, I want to change the layout so will be screaming for help when I start.


Off to my dolls house club today, we usually end up talking and getting nothing done.

Ebay buyers gone crazy

Hi All

Yes I now believe ebay buyers have gone crazy, as you know I am sorting stuff out for my dad, its all coming from my mums vast collection of stuff. I thought I knew a bit about what sells but I am so amazed at what is selling and the prices they are achieving,
I sold a Kevin talking doll form the Home Alone film for 65.00!! and some board games from the 70's went for crazy prizes, this week I have Disney dolls form the films and they are flying and the Spice girls are reaching high prices, I have the last lot to do this weekend, plates and I mean lots of plates, there is the full collection of fairy plates and more of the same, about 30 all together, so this weekend its taking photos and then putting them out on ebay. sometimes I think I should just find stuff to sell on ebay and forget my minis.

And talking of minis, I have managed to finish the wardrobe and I am really pleased how it came out, I also manged to get some more done to the beach shop, I have started filling up the large shelf I have made, this will contain the soft furnishing and home decor items, maybe next week I can get back to doing my minis, hope so I do not like this popping in and out to do a bit, I like to get lost in my minis and sit in my own crazy world.

I got some time for me

Hi All

Yes I managed to get some time for me, in between answering questions on ebay!! some people ask the most stupidest questions, I was selling my dads tv stand, it had damage to the base, where the dog had chewed it, so I took 2 photos, 1 showing the unit and the other showing the damage, I then got a question, could i tell them where the damage is and would it be possible to take a photograph of it!! I was polite and said to check out the photo's .

Anyway I came here to talk mini's not moan, 

After I had finished my painted furniture I wondered if I could do any more, so I have been checking out pinterest for painted furniture and down loaded some I thought I would like to try .
I then looked in my stash and found some furniture to try it out on, I did not have the furniture that they had used, so I am using what I think will look ok.

The hardest bit is mixing the paint to try to get the colour paint they used as a background, I managed to get the colours as near as I can.

I have one bit nearly done the others are waiting, thought I would show you what I have done so far
