evening all

Hi all
wow every time i turn on my blog I find another follower, thank you and welcome,

We have had some lovely hot days and now the weekend is looming, guess what its turning cold again, typical English weather, never mind it was nice while it lasted.

So what have I been up to, I have been working on some of the furniture that I plan to use in the shabby chic shop and flat, not sure yet which bits will be used in what area, I will just keep going till I feel I have enough and then do a dry run to see what fits where and what looks best.

I finished the dresser, I added handles to the drawers and put a backing on the shelving top.

I then completed a day bed, I did not like it as it was, so I repainted it and made a new covers and cushions.

I also started to make hat boxes and little objects to go in the units and shelves, I got some pictures and posters which I have laminated.

hope you all have a great weekend.

been busy today

Hi All

wow up to 121 followers, thank you for joining me and my miniatures, I hope you like what you see, feel free to comment, I love your comments, you give me encouragement, so thank you.

I have started to work on the furniture for my shabby chic shop, I like to have everything ready to put in place when I have finished decorating, I am very impatience, I do not like to wait.

I started with a settee and a dresser, both of these have been repainted and distressed, the settee I covered with a lovely pink and grey material and added grey trim.

The dresser still needs a bit more doing to it, I had in mind a lovely flowered set of plates, I had hoped to put these on, but they are to big for the shelves, now I have to look for something else.

I also made a belt for my Victorian house keeper, to wear round her waist,

anyway here are the photos

for the front of the cushions I used a lace mat, which I cut up

this has shades of blue showing through the white paint,

you may of seen this before, this will become my shabby chic shop, my bargain for 16.00

bargain buys

Hi All.
I will not bore you with the ongoing problems with my drugs and my forthcoming operation, just to say, I wish one of them will make up their minds over what is going to happen.

I felt better today, so I went into town, it has been ages since I had visited my cheapy shops, I was having withdrawal symptoms and the only cure was to find some bargains, and I did.

I got a lovely bird box, and I am sorry but the birds are not having it, it is staying in with me.
I then picked up 3 picture frames, these I will make into mirrors, then out of the corner of my eye I spied a fantastic book, Antique style, Projects from a bygone era, it is full of Victorian projects, so many ideas to use for miniatures.

I did do a bit of work as well today, I am going ahead with the shabby chic shop, I already have some furniture, I have rubbed it down and it is ready for painting, will show you when I have finished.

I got given a small shadow box, I have turned it into a shabby chic box, I think its turned out quite good, have put on a photo for you to see what you think.

well that's it for now, I will leave you with the photos.
