Its all a mess

Hi All

Yes its all a mess, what am I talking about? my kitchen. we are into day 3 and I do not have a sink, every where is a mess, dust and sawdust every where, my friend who is doing my new kitchen, is a perfectionist, this means it involves a lot of standing around and thinking helped with numerous cups of tea, he has another job this morning then he is back here.

I know I am moaning, but the end result will be beautiful, I just get very fidgety when my house is in chaos, the only room that is not cluttered is my work room, so me and my doggies are camped out  there, still it does mean I have been doing my minis so not all bad.

I have been working on a little chaise that I had in my stash, I am gradually getting trough all my stash, I am working on a kitchen sink and dresser, wonder why I have kitchens on my mind.

yes the work room done, my old kitchen units are now in my work room, and I still managed to fill the cupboard's, it looks so tidy now, never mind it will not be long before it is messy again. Today its the kitchen,

 

I am having a new kitchen

Hi All

there are to be big changes to my kitchen, my friend who is a carpenter was taking an old kitchen out to replace with a new one, the old kitchen is made in oak, he asked what she would be doing with the old kitchen he was told it would be dumped, so he asked if he could have it.
my little bungalow and shed is now filled with all types of units, and it is being stated today, so my new kitchen will be very frugal, I have had to buy new work tops and a sink.

and the best bit, he is outing part of my old kitchen in my work room.
For a few days now I will be unable to do anything, so I am hoping to catch up on some reading, and sort out my selling page.

The sun has got his hat on, we are having some lovely weather and it has been quite hot, so have been in the garden planting flowers and vegetable's, I do hope the good weather continues.

I have managed to get on with some minis, I am still working through my stash of minis, I still have loads more.

This time I decided to make a sewing room set, I got an old chair, sewing machine and a cabinet, these I repainted and distressed them, I also made a screen,
The cabinet, I filled with material, books, patterns, I made a tiny pin cushion to go in as well.

The sewing machine table I repainted and distressed it, I made a small cotton reel to place on the top, added some material, that was cut with a pattern and made it look like a bit was being sold.

The screen is just mount board, covered with paper and added some pictures, I made a veil to hang over it and added a tape measure.

The chair was pulled apart and repainted and covered, I made a small cushion to place on it.

Morning all

The sun is shinning and its going to be a warm day, lets hope this is the start of the warmer weather, after the long winter we need some sun.

Busy day today, I have some garden furniture coming and some seeds to pot, with the skip coming tomorrow I have to sort out what areas need to be cleared out, exciting, as then I can start to plan the new design of my garden.

I did get some minis done yesterday, I had a 3 piece suite that I have recovered, just did the settee and made a long bench, covered in the same fabric, for the dollies to rest their feet on.

have stated my present for my sons wedding, cannot tell you or show you, as they sometimes check out my blog,
Question, I need a wedding cake made (mini) its not a normal cake!! is there anyone out there that can help me out, I can do most things but fancy cakes are not really my thing, would prefer someone in UK, is you can help me please message me, I do have photo of cake, thanks

Hi All

Thank you so much for your lovely messages and I must say thank you to my new follower's, I hope you will enjoy my blog.

I have not yet heard from the hospital, but now if they contact me in the next few weeks I will have to tell them I do not want the operation until after August, I have my sons graduation and his wedding, it will take a good 3 months for my arm to recover and I would rather wait.

I have been getting some minis finished, I am building up another lot to hopefully sell on ebay, I wait for a free listing weekend before I put then on, just missed one, but they usually come up very regular, I will also put them on my selling page on here.

Jan, the lady who runs the local toy shop, is going to have my music shop on display for a few weeks and also she sells used books for  a charity, so we are putting my fifty shades of grey bed and the books together and making a display,

we are very busy at home, well I say we, I mean my son, I usually delegate, I want to redesign my garden and make it a bit more easy for me to look after and I also want it to look a bit different than the usual lawn with borders, I have been looking at many designs, and have a few ideas, this Friday I have a skip coming and we are clearing a lot of the rubbish, a hedge has been taken down and the people that lived here before me left a load of rubble, so busy day.
