more crafts, help needed

Hi All

I need your opinions, I know this is not mini related, but read on

I am looking at different ways to earn a bit of money, living on benefits does not allow me the luxury of extra cash for my hobbies, I still sell my minis, but it is slow, i think people do not have the money now and when things are difficult one of the first things to go is your hobby,

So here come my idea, and this is where I would love your input, I came up with the idea of a travel set, it will comprise of, bag, luggage tags, passport holder, ticket wallet and a book for a travel log, they will all be in the same fabric, I thought I could also do the same for adults and children.
I thought I could do these as orders only to begin with and cost them at £20.00 the set, this is the first time I have tried with my craft work to sell, usually I just make presents and stuff for the home. So this is where you come in

1. what do you think of the idea?
2. have I priced them right?
3. do you think they would sell?

well I will leave you with photos of the set and await your help. Thank you

Dear Debbie
It's tough times for many, it is sad that you are one of those who feel the crisis.
I think you have a good idea, it sounds and looks exciting.

I think the challenge is to sell, how do people learn about your product?

What about advertisements on your blog? I do not know what it offers, so I have no experience here, but I can see that several blog have advertisements on.

Good luck with your project.

Hi Debbie,
I think your travel sets are very cute, and I think you have them reasonably priced. It's hard to figure what will move people, especially with lousy economies in several countries. Maybe ads on your blog will help. Hard to know. I use Google Ad Sense, but it takes enormous amounts of page views and clicks to make any money. In three months, I have only made about $30, and have spent nearly 10 times that making and buying things to set the scenes for my posts. And even though I get plenty of page views, it's like pulling teeth to get people to follow the blog, or even leave a comment. It can be frustrating.
But I love my minis, and am thrilled to have people read my story, so all in all, I guess it's worth it. You won't know for sure unless you give it a try. I wish you the best of luck, and loads of extra $$$ to use for your hobby.
