help and advice please

Hi All

I am getting very frustrated with my printer, I have a Kodak, I brought it last year as I was fed up with the cost of ink in my other one, but I find that the printing quality is very poor and the ink goes very quickly.
so
1. what do you think the best printer is ?

2 .what do you use?

any ideas or suggestions please

I think all printers have pros and cons.
We run two printers.... one is an all-in-one printer/copier/scanner by Epson. It's quite old now but the print quality is ok for everyday printing and the generic ink cartridges are very cheap.
For better quality printing I have a Canon Pixma which only prints. It's about 4 years old but prints beautifully. Cartridges are cheap and last quite a while, even when I'm doing a print run of catalogues.
I'm sure there are better, cheaper printers available now... use Google to find reviews of current makes and models then, if you can, go to a PC World and see one in action... that's the only way to compare print quality.
Good luck and let me know what you decide on!

I think everyone can recognize this problem. I don't think I've ever bought the same make again! I now have a Canon and although it prints fine it has one very annoying quirk. Even if you only need black, it won't print at all if any of the cartridges are empty. I think you just need to take time to compare. If your current printer's quality isn't great, it could be set on standard in the 'properties' menu. For DH wallpaper I use 'best quality'. I now shop for cartridges by looking for offers on the internet.

Hope you've managed to tame your printer by now :))
