its been a busy week

Hi All
I have had a busy week, first I had to visit my Doctor, it turned out that I have a chest infection, so came away with a course of antibiotics.

I got a letter from the hospital with an appointment to see the Consultant anaesthetist, what a lovely man, he apologised for the problems I had been having with my not happening operation, he went through all my problems and it was decided that it is to dangerous for me to have an general anaesthetic, so they will be doing nerve blocks with heavy sedation, he will write to my GP and explain exactly what he wants to do and how he wants to plan my warfarin control, he hopes that they will give me a date soon for my operation, but if I do not get a date in the next couple of weeks I will wait till after August as I have my sons graduation on the 1st of July and his wedding on the 31st August. so watch this space.
I came away feeling a lot more confident about my operation than I did before.

We also decided to replan the garden, I want it to be a bit more user friendly for me, I also had a hedge outside my kitchen window, so all I could see was hedge, so that is being taken down, not sure yet how I want it to look. Once it is cleared I will look at it and hopefully come up with a design.

I did manage to get some minis done, I had a nursery set, I had been looking at it for a while and so I bashed it and repainted it. I took a black metal pram, repainted it and covered it in navy leather, there is still a bit more to do, have put on some photos of my progress so far.

Finished music shop

Hi All
Yes it is finished, I think knowing that I had another appointment for my pre-op this week gave me the push I needed to get it finished,  This one was different to what I usually do, I did not have to make many items, the musical instruments have been purchased over time.

I did make the shop counter and the sound booth, plus some of the books and records,
I am very pleased with the final look, so grab a coffee and come and have a look

I covered the outside with the music paper and then cut out music notes

It may be back on

Hi All

Thank you for your lovely comments, I am pleased you like my work,
Now the news of the day, Yesterday I got a letter from the hospital, I have an appointment to see the Doctor at the hospital for a pre-op assessment, so if all goes to plan the operation should be the following week, fingers crossed.

I am still working on the outside of the music shop, I printed some large musical notes, I intend to use these on the outside of the shop, I hope to have photos for you all later.

Well the sun is shining and its a lovely day, maybe its starting to warm up, so off to hang out the washing and have a mini day, have a great day wherever you are

I have been a naughty blogger

Hi All
Yes I have been naughty, I have not been on here for over a week, following my non operation, I have had lots to sort out, for one they left me not knowing what I was to do about my warfarin!! this took over 4 days to sort, and in that time I did not know if I had the correct dosage to maintain my bloods, I was still having the injections plus tablets, finally my GP's secretary, Sally, go involved and I had a blood test Wednesday, no one including me could believe I had managed to maintain my levels, no more injections.

Secondary I had an appointment to attend a Pulmonary clinic, this was exercisers and support for my COPD, had to cancel that, has I do not know when my operation will be and will not be able to do the exercisers, I have 6 months in which I can rebook.

I have been trying to find out the date of the operation, I am waiting for them to get back to me, I rang the next day after my cancelled operation and was told she will get back to me,

Some times life can be so frustrating. For  a few days I did not know what to do with myself, I had in my head prepared for the op and was not expecting to be able to do anything, it was very hard to get out of this mind-set, but finally my head is getting back to what I call normal!! others call it the madness of minis,

I have been working on the outside and roof of my music shop, nearly finished, will show you when its done.

I was looking around Pinterest, I love that, it is so addictive and I can lose myself on there for ages, anyway I came across a lovely real life size double bed covering made of layers of lace, so I got a lovely gold metal bed frame and set about recreating it in mini, I was really pleased with the result.
I also started to take to pieces a 3 piece suite that I want to recover, so you can see the madness begins.

I am not getting into big projects as I may be called at anytime for my operation, but if I do not have it by the middle of May I want to wait till after August, my son's graduation and Wedding takes place 1st July and 31st August so do not want to be recovering during those times, plus I am going to Edinburgh on the 30th June for a week so that will have to wait till I am ready.
Have a look at what I have done

it did not happen

Hi All
thank you so much for your good wishes, but the operation did not happen, it was cancelled due to the fact they did not have a Intensive Care bed, and my condition is to risky to operate without proper back up, I was so angry, I have spent a year doing everything they have asked of me, I have had scans, tests and bloods done, all in preparation for this day.

I do understand that they need to ensure I am safe and nothing goes wrong, but why did they not read my notes before I came in and sorted it out. I now have to wait for the op again, I am on tender hooks as it could be anytime. Frustrating.

Yesterday I felt so lost, I was so prepared for my op, I did not know what to do with myself, did spend some of the day sleeping.

I hope today to get up and start some mini making, I need to start on my sons wedding gift, if I have my op soon I will not be able to do anything for weeks.

lets see what the day brings

Morning all

Hi All

no mini's this week, I have been concentrating on making sure my body is at its best ready for my operation this Wednesday. I have spring cleaned my bungalow, caught up on all those little jobs, stocked up the cupboards and made sure I have had plenty of rest.
Just waiting now, It took me a while to get my injections sorted out, but thanks to a really nice and helpful lady called Sally, it was sorted out in a day. I started my injection's yesterday, looking forward to a bruised belly.

I have also collected loads of magazines and books, got myself some aida fabric, all in anticipation of not being able to  much after the operation. I will try to keep you updated on my progress.

I got a lovely surprise Saturday, I won a give a way from the lovely Carmen, blog pekevasion.blogspot.com I was so pleased with what I found when I opened my box,

I will have a look today to see if I can find give a ways for you to enter
